These Grails are produced in small batches, in an open edition. Because of their unexpected popularity, there has been a 2-3 month wait time in ordering and recieving CoSM Grails since their initial release over the summer. Currently we have a small number of Grails in stock for the holidays, available for purchase now! Once these sell out, Grails will still be available for purchase, though we'll be waiting on another batch to be made and the price will increase slightly.
If you purchase a grail, please be advised that it will require a signature upon delivery. If someone is not there to sign for the item, the customer is responsible for paying the fee to reship the item.
The CoSM Grail is an exquisite altar object and symbol that we are vessels of creative energy with expansive vision. An extraordinary bronze grail created by Alex Grey was recently cast by Black Hills Bronze. See the exciting foundry work, the initiatory ceremony and ritual prayers by a Lakota elder, the pouring transformation of liquid metal into the CoSM grails.
The Grail is said to possess miraculous powers. This sacred object is most often identified with the wine goblet used by Jesus at the Passover seder, the Last Supper he spent with his family of choice, the Apostles. The myth of the Grail became renowned in the tales of King Arthur and the Knights of the Round Table who rode around armored on horseback questing for the legendary vessel. Symbol of the divine feminine and gnostic enlightenment, the grail quest can only be attained when you drink from the cup of spiritual reality.
An extraordinary CoSM Grail can grace your altar and all proceeds will help build Entheon Exhibition Hall at CoSM. Each grail will be numbered, with the CoSM Emblem cast into the Grail, on the bottom. (CoSM will own #1) These precious goblets are safely usable for consumption, as the inside is plated in silver. Further editions will follow and may have slightly different patinas (color) and each will be identified by a consecutive number.
