Location, Hours & Info

The Chapel of Sacred Mirrors upstate is open to the public on weekends. Our hours are Friday - Monday, 12 pm - 6pm and are subject to change, especially on days of events, please visit and check our calendar for event dates. For directions from surrounding areas please follow the link.

CoSM on 27th St. in Manhattan closed on January 1st, 2009 and moved 65 miles up the Hudson River to Wappingers Falls, New York.  As of Monday, June 22, 2009, CoSM at East West Living, on 5th Ave. in Union Square, Manhattan, is closed.  Sign up for the mailing list and check out the events column at to get all of the updates and event postings. 




Chapel of Sacred Mirrors, our retreat center in Wappingers Falls, New York, has been under renovation with the help of amazing dedicated staff, volunteers, contractors, builders, office administrators, cooks, housekeepers, PR and web developers, fulfilling so many jobs necessary for our community to continue its mission.

International Orders


All international payments must be made via Paypal, as our bank does not accept international credit cards.


Please allow up to 6 weeks from date of order for delivery and please provide a valid email address when you place your order, as you will receive a Shipping Confirmation email from the CoSM Shop with your tracking number as soon as your package is in transit. Please make sure you provide the correct Phone number on your order, if customs cannot reach you, your package will be returned and you will be responsible for the cost of re-shipment. The restocking fee for International Exchanges is 15%.  Please see below for the return, exchange, missing and damaged order policy.


 At this time, due to very high security measures set by Customs, we cannot ship anything to Russia or China. We truly appreciate your interest and we sincerely apologize we are unable to provide merchandise to this area.


Claims for Damaged, Lost, or Incorrect orders

Please allow up to 4 weeks from date of order for delivery, and please provide a valid email address when you place your order, as you will receive a Shipping Confirmation email from the CoSM Shop with your tracking number as soon as your package is in transit.

Claims for missing or incorrect items or damaged shipments must be made within 10 business days of receipt. If your package is a gift intended for a later date, you must inspect the contents for damage or any missing items upon receipt. Depending on the case, we will ship the missing or replacement item to the original Ship To address on the order. If the items need to be sent to an alternate address, then the customer may be responsible for part of or all shipping fees.

If you are dissatisfied with merchandise purchased from the CoSM Online Store, (other than a rolled poster) you must contact us within 10 business days of receipt.
There is a 10% restocking fee on all domestic returns and exchanges. Please be sure you are ordering your intended items. You can contact us if you require more details on a product.

Unframed unsigned posters and Signed unframed posters are not returnable unless damaged in shipping.

If you receive a damaged poster, you must call the office within 10 day of receipt to make your damage claim.

Clothing may only be returned or exchanged if it is unworn. Customers must have had an interaction with a representative, if you have not received instructions from us do not send your product back. You will be responsible for sending the item to us and accepting the cost of re-shipping the desired item, unless there is a manufacturers defect in which case the cost of re-shipment will be covered by us.

Jewelry, Books, CDs, DVDs, and other multimedia products may not be returned once received, but may be exchanged if there is a manufacturing defect or damage in transit.

Specialty Items such as Prints may not be exchanged or returned unless there is a manufacturing defect or damage in transit. All Prints are shipped with full insurance. Please contact us immediately if it was damaged upon arrival.

Item Availability

We strive to keep our website as up-to-date as possible. Every item we carry is available through our online store. If you see an item you like that is out of stock, feel free to contact us to find out when it will become available. We do not take special orders and we do not allow production of Alex Grey/CoSM merchandise outside of our own catalog. Please check back on our website or subscribe to our e-newsletter for updates on new products and their availability.

Wholesale Orders

We do sell most of our merchandise wholesale to licensed retailers. At this tim e Alex Grey and CoSM products are only available to brick and mortar retail store. Online sale of these products by any retailer not contracted by CoSM is prohibited. Please request a wholesale agreement and print, sign, and fax (or scan and email) back to us, along with a copy of your business license, at 845.632.3879 or  We will begin as soon as the necessary documentation is received.


Original Art Availability

There are a limited number of original drawings and paintings by Alex Grey available at most times.  Most available works are listed for sale in our web store.  If you are looking for something in particular, please contact us for more information.  Serious inquiries only.


Reproductions of Art

Alex is always honored when someone wants to use his work as a tattoo.  We do not provide images for tattooing, but you may use any image from a book or poster as a guideline.  You may choose to send a good photo including your name and a caption when the piece is finished to  Doing so grants free use of the photo of your tattoo for any subsequent publication approved by Alex Grey.  


Art Submissions

We do not currently have a venue for exhibition of other people’s art. It is within the realm of possibility that when our exhibition hall opens in the future, there will also be another MicroCoSM Gallery, but there are no plans for production of a gallery of the same nature at this time.  We do not currently accept artist solicitations.  Any unsolicited art received will be returned at the senders cost, or discarded if we can’t reach you to return it.  Please subscribe to our weekly e-newsletter to find out about calls for artists and any group shows we may have in the future.



We are always accepting resumes for internships.  If you are interested in becoming an intern at CoSM, please send us your resume along with a cover letter explaining why you want to be part of our team and telling us your availability.  We will get back to you at our convenience, as positions become available.

Rent Chapel of Sacred Mirrors

CoSM is available to rent for weddings, day and overnight workshops, conferences and other quiet events. Rates are figured on a case-by-case basis.  If you would like to rent CoSM, please send your contact information with a proposal for your event, the date, how many people, how many overnight guests, and any other special requests related to the event to
