"New Spectrum represents the hundred letter alphabet intuited at Burning Man "in the mud," 2023. In this painting, each letter appears in a square of thick and brilliant oil paint, arranged in the spectral configuration of a hundred squares. The color of each sacred symbol is complementary to its background-color, the opposite color on the color wheel.
Secret Writing, the Language of Creative Expression. All language, in fact, all that exists in the material world, represents a symbolic message, recognizable or not, to our mind's eye. Each symbol, intrinsically empty & meaningless, is filled with meaning by the viewer's independent mind, understood uniquely by the viewer, interpreted through all of their life's experiences.

Secret Writing is a group of symbols, personally created by this artist. The insight regarding the reading of symbols, like this artist's creation of symbols for "chaos," "order," "spectral rain," "planned randomness," and more, represent a personal understanding of the Almighty Creator, some people called "G-O-D." In an altered state decades ago, The Creator provided this artist with insight, a minds that reads and translates symbols, enabling communication and reception of images, enabling us to interpret the creative language of others. The final result is a dimensional surface in which opacity, texture, reflectivity, and light work together as part of the composition.

Ultimately, the process is about creating a balanced interaction between the original artwork and the physical properties of the medium. Each decision is made to support the composition, allowing the image to shift and reveal new qualities as the light and viewing angle change.
