Cancellation policy
CoSM Shop offers physical products, digital items, annual CoSM Memberships, event-related items, and charitable donations. This policy explains how cancellations work for each type of transaction.
1. CoSM Memberships (Annual Commitment)
All CoSM Memberships are annual memberships, even when paid through monthly installments.
A monthly plan is an installment schedule toward the full annual fee.
Cancelling or Changing Your Membership
You may cancel your future annual renewal at any time before your next billing date.
Because all memberships are annual commitments:
• Membership payments (monthly or annual) are non-refundable
• Memberships cannot be cancelled or refunded mid-year
• Monthly installment plans must be completed through the full 12-month term
• Benefits remain active through the end of the paid annual period
Failed or Late Monthly Payments
• A 7-day grace period is provided to update payment information
• Membership benefits may be paused during this period
• If payments remain unresolved, CoSM may suspend access until payments resume
• The annual balance remains owed
Chargebacks
If a membership payment is disputed with your bank:
• Membership benefits may be suspended immediately
• CoSM will reach out to resolve the matter
• Any remaining annual membership balance still applies
Membership Cancellation Requests
• You may cancel your next annual renewal at any time
• Send your request to support@cosm.org
• Cancellation is not effective until you receive written confirmation from CoSM
• Please allow 1–3 business days for confirmation
2. Donations
CoSM is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization.
Donations made through the CoSM Shop or website are charitable contributions.
Donation Policy
• All donations are final and non-refundable
• Donations cannot be cancelled once submitted
• For donation errors, contact support@cosm.org for review
• Donation receipts are emailed automatically for tax records
• Any tax-deductible portion of a purchase will be noted on your receipt
3. Standard Product Orders
You may request to cancel a product order before it has shipped.
How to Request a Cancellation
You may request cancellation:

Important
• A cancellation request is not considered approved until CoSM sends a written confirmation email
• If your order has already shipped, it cannot be cancelled
• Once delivered, the item may be returned following our Return & Exchange Policy
• Refunds for shipped orders are issued minus shipping and return shipping costs
4. Pre-Orders
You may cancel a pre-order that has not yet been shipped.
You may submit your request by email or phone.
Your cancellation is not approved until you receive a confirmation email from CoSM.
Once a pre-order has shipped, it cannot be cancelled.
Returns may be requested after delivery following our Return & Exchange Policy.
Deposits, if used, are non-refundable unless otherwise stated.
5. Digital Goods and Online Access
Digital goods (downloads, livestreams, online access) are:
• Delivered electronically
• Not cancellable once access or delivery has been granted
• Not refundable if unused after delivery
6. Incorrect or Insufficient Shipping Addresses
If an order is returned due to an invalid or incomplete address:
• The customer is responsible for the cost of re-shipping
• Orders cannot be cancelled after shipment
• Refunds for returned shipments are issued minus all shipping costs
Address changes must be submitted before shipment.
7. International Orders and Customs
CoSM is not responsible for:
• Customs delays
• Packages held or seized by customs
• Duties, VAT, or taxes
• Returned or undeliverable international packages
Re-shipment costs for international returns are the customer’s responsibility.
8. Summary of How Cancellations Work
Memberships

• No mid-year cancellations or refunds

Donations
• Final and non-refundable

• Orders already shipped cannot be cancelled
Digital Items
• Cannot be cancelled or refunded after access/delivery
