Ohio Song - Art Blanket
Ohio Song - Art Blanket
“I’m from Ohio, the Buckeye State and years ago did a painting of the state bird, the cardinal, in a buckeye tree. The song is a rainbow emanation from the heart with the Tibetan syllable AH, a sonic symbol of our primordial buddha nature.”
— Alex Grey
Ohio Song is a celebration of nature, memory, and the universal language of the heart. Inspired by Alex Grey’s home state of Ohio, the artwork features the vibrant cardinal perched within a buckeye tree, bringing together two beloved symbols of the Buckeye State. Yet beyond its regional roots, the painting opens into a deeper spiritual dimension, where birdsong becomes a radiant expression of consciousness itself.
Flowing from the heart is a rainbow stream of color and vibration centered on the Tibetan syllable AH, a sacred symbol associated with primordial awareness and the innate awakened nature present within all beings. Through this union of the natural and the spiritual, Ohio Song invites contemplation of the invisible harmonies that connect the human heart with the living world.
