Spectral Wave, a recently completed oil painting (30" x 60" 2026), is a grid field of spectrums. The "algorithm" or rules for this painting include a twenty-five color diagonal strand that begins in the upper left hand corner. The strand runs diagonally, left to right, and returns "flush" left when it meets the upper edge, continuing to the next consecutive color, in an ongoing, repeating, spectral sequence. The spectral strand fills the upper corner revealing an upward pointing "flame pattern" that becomes a vertical "water fall" as it covers the mid-section, and then transforms into a downward pointing "flame" pattern in the lower right hand corner. It came as a big surprise to me that the 25 spectral array is the magic that made the "wave' go "vertical" in the mid-section. This archival limited edition print is printed locally in the Hudson Valley of New York on Hahnemuhle Photo Rag Matte 308gsm with permanent ink.
